Usage: Captopril is indicated for treating hypertension, congestive heart failure, left ventricular dysfunction post-myocardial infarction, and diabetic nephropathy in type I insulin-dependent diabetes with retinopathy. It may be used alone or with other agents, particularly thiazide diuretics, and is effective in improving survival and reducing renal progression.
